It’s what family feels like.
And it moves us every day.

Kindness and a meaningful connection. It’s how we approach every relationship. We embrace and listen to you like family. While many people are aware of the benefits of getting screened, they may need a little encouragement from their family and friends to follow through.

In recent years, a test known as a low-dose CT Lung Cancer Screening has been studied in people at higher risk of getting lung cancer (mainly because they smoke or used to smoke). These scans can help find abnormal areas in the lungs that may be cancer. Unlike chest x-rays, yearly low-dose low-dose CT Lung Cancer Screening for people at higher risk of lung cancer can save lives.

Riverside Healthcare's ACR Lung Cancer Screening Centers provide lung cancer screenings for individuals at high risk. These include individuals 50 to 77 years of age, are asymptomatic, and currently smoke or have quit in the past 15 years, and have at least a 20 pack-year smoking history. (Packs smoked per day multiplied by the number of years smoked, for example, one pack per day x 20 years, two packs per day x 10 years.)

Additional testing or follow-up may be required depending on your screening CT results. All follow-up testing can be performed at Riverside Healthcare, and the Lung Screening Team is here to help you through additional testing or cancer treatment.

Schedule a Lung Cancer Screening

Lung cancer symptoms usually don’t appear until the disease has advanced, which is why a screening is such a vital tool. An annual CT Low Dose Lung Cancer Screening is recommended for high-risk individuals.

A referral is needed for this test. If you do not have a referral and need to see one of our providers, please Request a Primary Care Appointment.
